From the initial sketch of an idea, to carving the block of lino, selecting the vintage letterpress type, setting it by hand, mixing the ink colour, aligning the paper and turning the press; printmaking for me is an analogue process. I welcome and love experimenting with the possibilities that digital technologies create, but there is nothing quite like seeing + feeling the gentle printed impressions on paper.
